PBiS is an acronym which stands for Positive Behavior intervention and Supports. PBiS is a program supported by the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) in order to promote and maximize academic and behavioral competence. It is a school-wide strategy for helping all students achieve important social and learning goals.
As part of the PBiS program, we have established several clear rules for the expected behavior. We have been teaching those expectations to the students and rewarding them with positive rewards. The expectations for all student behavior is clear throughout our buildings which is found in common areas, hallways, restrooms, and classrooms. Our district has the following guidelines in each of the buildings:
BE READY TO LEARN
Our school building rules specifically address behaviors so our schools can provide a safe learning environment for your child which allows more time for quality instruction. We believe that by helping students practice good behavior, we are building a school community where all students can succeed and grow.
Please contact your child’s school if you have questions or need more information. Thank you for your support!
